AC Filters 4 Less attends the 2nd annual “Horses For Heroes” Golf Tournament benefiting the Bit By Bit Therapeutic Riding Center.
Bit-by-Bit Therapeutic Riding Center was created in 1998 to provide therapeutic services to children with disabilities such as spina bifida and cerebral palsy. Several years later Bit-by-Bit started helping adults and now expanding to help wounded troops. Bit-by-Bit provides equine therapy to veterans and active duty soldiers suffering from both physical and psychological wounds of war. With community sponsors like AC Filters 4 Less, this program continues to grow and help so many in need.
The annual “Horses For Heroes” Golf Tournament Fundraiser was held on Saturday, April 16, 2011 at the Inverrary Golf & Country Club, while 100% of the proceeds went to support the veterans in the Heroes Program. AC Filters 4 Less was one of the many supporters donating a case of AC Filters. “The event was a great success and we were happy to be a part of such a great program.”, states Mark Platt, owner.
Last year, the first Horses for Heroes Golf Tournament generated $10,000, with all of the proceeds used
to begin the program. This years goal was to double the previous years, but the economy led many companies to
lower their donations. Thanks to the many new contributors, such as AC Filters 4 Less, for making this year's fundraiser a success.
